COST programme. Collective spaces are public/private urban spaces

May 16, 2016 3:21 pm

Collective spaces are public/private urban spaces that are simultaneously used, shared and appropriated by different social groups. They play a crucial role in the creation of citizenship, belonging and place identity in an increasingly socio-culturally diverse Europe. Emitting social meaning and value, they are vital for social inter-activeness, mixity, togetherness, social capital and the empowerment of civic virtue and citizenship.

This is an ongoing project together with partners from EU leading Universities and research Institutes.
